Pros

It's EXTREMELY difficult to find a site that has drivers that don't also install a bunch of crap on your PC. Avoid 'setup.exe' installations if you can. This driver set gave me exactly what I needed to get my Broadcom 4312 / 4315 wi-fi hardware running again.

Cons

None. Pointed my Device Manager 'Update Driver' to the expanded folder. Requires 7-ZIP or Windows zipfile manager or similar to expand the zipfile into separate files.

Summary

Glad that CNET has a clean, working driver. The vendor, Broadcom, only has LINUX drivers on their site now. Most vendors don't keep their own drivers very long -- that system sux.

It requires additional downloading, and the item is a driver, which means I have to be online to get the driver, that puts me online, so I cannot use it

Broadcom wireless drivers download

You should still have access to an Ethernet jack to get you online. Or, you can drag the files with a USB jump drive from a working PC. These files were all I needed to get my wi-fi working again. If push came to shove, you could even try downloading the files to a cellphone, connect the phone to your PC with a USB>MicroUSB cable, expand the zipfile there, install normally.
